Youth Music Project offers a variety of classes on piano:
Do you keep hearing your kids play “Chopsticks” over and over again? Want a little more Freddie Mercury and a little less Beethoven? Then Introduction to Piano is perfect for them! Beginners will learn how to unlock the mystery of the 88 keys by studying basic notes, chords, melodies and music concepts on the keyboard as well as basic notation and note-reading. Students will also have the opportunity to perform on stage for an audience of devoted fans at their final performance.
Does your student have less than a year of experience playing the piano? If your students are on the way to mastering basic piano books and looking for new jams, then this class is for them. Students with some experience (and those who have taken YMP’s Intro to Piano) are invited to take a bow and step up to the next piano level. They will have the opportunity to perform on stage for an audience of devoted fans at their final performance.
Are you ready to take your learning to the next level? Are you ready to use the 88 keys of the piano to jam out and make stellar music? Students with a year or more of experience on the piano are eligible to take this course. Students will practice harder songs, rock out to more difficult tunes and kick their piano technique up a notch. Up to six students will be in this class for an 8 week course, and each class will have the opportunity to perform at the recital at the end of the term.
