Annalise Albright Woods

  • Youth Music Project’s Program Director, Annalise Albright Woods comes to Youth Music Project with over 15 years of experience in implementing and managing youth development programs and brings with her a rich understanding of the school and after-school environment.  She holds an MS in Educational Leadership, has an MFA in theatrical sound design, and a BA in theatre and music. Her passion for music and the arts was shaped by experiences growing up with the Columbus Youth Symphony, as a member of the Wooster Chorus in college, and most recently her longtime involvement in Portland’s theatre community where she freelances as a sound designer. Annalise plays the violin and piano, loves to sign in groups, and has recently taken on learning guitar and drums.

Annalise brings a passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion work to her role as the Program Director and believes deeply in the YMP goal of access to music education for everyone. She works with our highly skilled and passionate instructor and administrative team to develop programs that engage the entire community in the power of music and create opportunities for each student to explore music in their own individual way. She enjoys bringing music home with her every day and loves having family concerts and dance parties with her husband and preschool-age son, whose love of music is already shining through.
