Celeste Rose

  • Celeste comes to Youth Music Project after being on the grant making side of the non-profit world.  She is excited to help Youth Music Project grow its high-quality music programming and tuition assistance offerings, as they work to ensure music education is available to everyone!  Celeste looks forward to fundraising and will work to build stronger community partnerships. She is happy to discuss how your company or organization can help Youth Music Project achieve its mission!

As a child, Celeste took piano and flute lessons. Her 3rd grade music teacher made a lasting impression on her when he had a friend who sang with the Seattle Opera come to visit and she decided that she wanted to be an opera singer.  Alas, it was quickly very clear that her love of music and singing was best appreciated as an audience member, although she still wants to learn to play the drums.  Her love and passion for Youth Music Project started when her daughters took lessons there when it was in the little white house across the street, and she views the new building the gem of West Linn.  Her daughters have also played in the Ambassador Band and are excited to learn Ukulele.

Celeste is an avid fan of all kinds of music, if her iPod is on shuffle you will hear anything from Gary Numan to Mozart, The Clash to Hall & Oates.  She can often be found at the Crystal Ballroom or the Doug Fir catching a show – or at the Portland Opera wishing she could sing.

When not sharing her passion for Youth Music Project, Celeste likes to spend time with her twin daughters, family, and friends doing all the fun things!
