  • About Haley

With a background in music study and entertainment, Haley is proud to be at Youth Music Project fostering lifelong passion for the arts. A graduate of Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, she studied Film Theory and Sociology as a means of interpreting the performance of daily life. She believes that the arts root us to our surrounding community, as well as to our innermost self; from this, Haley holds great appreciation for Youth Music Project’s opportunities for community engagement through the power of music!

Haley has been playing instruments and singing since a young age — she first picked up the trombone when it was taller than she was! From jazz and classical ensembles, to marching band and drumline, Haley has enjoyed playing the mandolin, ukulele, bass guitar, and all types of percussion, in addition to trombone and vocals. With a personal understanding and respect for the impact of music on young lives, Haley is thrilled to witness the talent, curiosity, and experiential learning of students grow every term.

Some of Haley’s favorite musical influences include The Carpenters, Lucius, HAIM, and the irrefutable Shania Twain. Outside of Youth Music Project, you can most often find her camping, up-cycling furniture, teaching Jazzercise, and disco dancing!
