Jeydon Griffiths

  • I am a senior at Oregon City High School, and I have been taking classes at Youth Music Project since I was 15. Music has always been a big part of my life; from dabbling with hand bells in first grade to learning guitar in third, playing and listening to music has helped me through so many rough times in my life. I play guitar, bass, drums, know the basics of ukulele and piano, and am becoming more confident with vocals due to the classes I take here. By working at Youth Music Project and participating in the Intern Band and Advanced Track, I have gained so much confidence in myself over the years and have fallen even more in love with music. In addition, being here has cultivated my artistic expression in general. For my future I would like to go to Portland State University to obtain a Master’s in Fine Arts, since I want to become a professional artist and an art professor. I would also love to teach music someday, to kids, teens, adults, or to whomever wants to learn, and I hope I can take some classes along the way to my degree that can help me achieve that dream.
