The Youth Music Project offers group and private lessons to kids grades K-12 at any experience level. Class offerings currently include guitar, drum set, piano, Rock Band, and Girls Rock Band. Fees are on a sliding scale with financial assistance based on eligibility for free or reduced lunch at school. The registration deadline is Monday, January 13th, so don’t delay, register today!
Begin the Week of January 21st, 2014 (registration deadline is January 7th) Group classes are 50 minutes long, meet once a week, and have no more than 6 students per class. Sign up for group classes online at YouthMusicProject.org or use the registration form on page 17. Be sure to include the class title as well as the day and time. Once YMP receives registration and payment (if any), you will be contacted to confirm that your child is enrolled in the class. Classes with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled after the registration deadline. There will be no classes Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, January 20th); the make up day is March 17th. There will be four different recital
dates: Tuesday classes will have their recitals on Tuesday, March 18th; Wednesday classes will have their recitals on Wednesday, March 19th; Thursday classes will have their recitals on Thursday, March 20th; and Monday, Friday and Saturday classes will have their recitals on Saturday, March 22nd. All group and private classes will take place at 2015 8th Avenue, West Linn, Oregon 97068. Classes listed in this catalog are just the minimum classes offered. Please check YMP’s website often for up to date class options and information.
Sliding Scale Scholarships
We are excited to be able to offer students eligible for free or reduced price lunch their first two 8-week classes (group or private*) at no cost to their families; 100% scholarship. Their third and fourth 8 week class (group or private) is at 75% scholarship. And the fifth and each successive class is 50% off.
*Students must complete one group class before being eligible for private lessons
Please include a letter from your child’s school documenting participation in the Lunch Program along with your registration and payment (if any). If your child is home-schooled or in a school that doesn’t participate in the Free or Reduced Lunch Program, please include proof of income in the form of last year’s income tax form and a recent pay stub.

Adult and Pre-K Classes:
YMP offers weekly private lessons for students on guitar, piano and drums in its West Linn headquarters. Private lessons are sold in 8 lesson packages with each lesson running 30 minutes. Any student receiving a scholarship must successfully complete a group term before the student is eligible for a term of private lessons. To sign up, please fill out the on-line registration form and be sure to include 2 or 3 times that work best for your family’s schedule. Most lessons are taught Monday-Friday between 3:00-7:00pm and Saturday from 10:15am-2:15pm. Once YMP receives registration and payment (if any), you will be contacted to finalize your lesson start date.
