  • Tuition Assistance

    Youth Music Project is very happy to offer Tuition Assistance to those who qualify. 

    Eligibility is determined by the Federal Financial Income Guidelines for Free and Reduced School Lunch. Those who qualify may register, tuition free, for one weekly class or lesson per term. First time recipients must apply their first registration to a group class. If you are a returning student and have successfully completed a group class, you may register for 30 minute private lessons. If you wish to register for more than one class per term standard rates will apply to each additional registration.

    In order to be considered for tuition assistance, Youth Music Project must receive current documentation that your student receives free or reduced lunch at their school. You may request this letter from your student’s school.  We also accept a current SNAP benefits award letter, or the current year’s Tax returns. 

    Tuition Assistance is awarded per calendar year.  Recipients must reapply each fall. 

     

     

    Step 1: Create a Customer Account

    To apply for tuition assistance first create a Customer Account at our registration site. Once you have created an account and added your children as family members, please proceed to Step 2.

    Step 2: Free/Reduced Lunch Documentation

    Please send us a copy of your Free/Reduced Lunch Documentation for each child you wish to be considered for Tuition Assistance. You can:

    • Scan the letter and send it via email to: tuitionassistance@youthmusicproject.org.
    • Make a copy of the letter and mail it to: Youth Music Project, c/o Tuition Assistance, 2015 8th Avenue, West Linn, OR 97068.
    • Bring a copy of the letter to Youth Music Project and give it to one of our front desk associates.

    Be sure to include the same name you used for your account, your child or children’s full name(s) and your contact information so that we can access your account readily.

    Step 3: Email Confirmation

    Once we have reviewed and approved your application you will receive an email confirmation with instructions on how to register.

    Step 4: Choose your Group Class

    Choose the class you would like to enroll in. Check out our Group Classes page on this site and become part of the Youth Music Project!
