    Jerry is a retired independent market research and real estate consultant specializing in site and market selection, development, marketing, and financing of senior housing facilities in the US and Europe. He is a career health care finance and operations professional, a former CPA and hospital CFO and CEO, and a former operator of skilled nursing facilities. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of two Oregon long-term care companies, including Maryville Nursing Home in Beaverton (owned by the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon) and Pinnacle Health Care of Eugene. Jerry’s consulting practice concentrated on market research to identify and evaluate markets and sites for acquisition and new senior housing developments – – he has completed independent market studies in nearly every US state.

  • Jerry is currently the Treasurer of Helping Hands Reentry Outreach Centers, a non-profit organization operating 11 homeless shelters in NW Oregon including Bybee Lakes Hope Center in Portland. He has been a Board member for Community Warehouse, the non-profit furniture bank in the Portland metro area.

    Jerry is a former 10-year Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteer in Multnomah County with his wife Mary Jaeger. Together they served as advocates for five complex cases involving 14 children. He also served as Co-Chair of the CASA Annual Auction Committee for five years. He was the volunteer budget director for the Oregon State Office of the Long Term Care Ombudsman for three biennial budget cycles (2011-13, 13-15, and 15-17) and has volunteered as a market researcher in the Oregon Department of Veteran Affairs. He is a Vietnam-era veteran, having served as a Mandarin Chinese linguist in the USAF between 1966 and 1970.
