How long have you been teaching music and what is your teaching philosophy?
I have been teaching for 2 years. My philosophy involves having fun with music, experimenting and discovering what you like to play. Playing games and staying engaged with the classroom material is essentail to my teaching style.

What is your favorite thing about teaching music?
My favorite thing about teaching is the first day of class, when every student is excited and a world of possibilities is open. The first dsy of class no matter what you study is always the most exciting.

What does music mean to you?
Music, when I was young, was the first thing I enjoyed doing and I remember thinking I might as well just do this for my whole life. It is challenging but calming and one of the olny things I could ever do with my life. I just enjoy playing music.

    Why is music education important?
Music education is important because it as joyous as it is scary. There are few things in life that are as challenging or as rewarding as performing your piece on stage in front of everyone. It is an open space for all our fears, failures and satisfactions as people and I believe it is crucial for everyone to feel that sense of acomplishment.
