Marcus Peterson
He/HimMarcus Peterson, is a bass/baritone completing a double Master’s in Voice and Choral Conducting from IU’s Jacobs School of Music. Marcus holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with a Teaching Certification from the University of Michigan. He has performed throughout the US, Europe, Canada, and South Africa in various choirs, operas, and musical theatre performances. His love of music began in the church and continues to this day. He is the Founder and Musical Director for the Cantate Community Chorus based in Novi, MI and the MPP Dinner Theatre. He served as a musical ensemble leader for the University of Michigan’s Men’s Glee Club for 5 years and IU’s Singing Hoosiers for one year, and currently teaches Voice at Reed College. Marcus has a passion for teaching and performing all types of music from classical to musical theatre to R&B and so much more. Spreading music through collaboration is his passion and purpose.
